BRUSH BURNING INFORMATION

        The burning of BRUSH ONLY is regulated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (310 CMR 7.07).

   Burning is allowed (AFTER OBTAINING A PERMIT FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT) between January 15th and April 30th.

You MUST call 485-3235 before burning EACH day that you plan to burn.

   The following are the regulations:

A PERMIT IS REQUIRED

·        You must obtain a burning permit and permit number from the Southborough Fire Department located at 21 Main Street prior to burning.

·        Permits will automatically renew each year. If you have obtained a permit in the past, and have not received the renewal in the mail. please call 485-3235 between 8 AM and 2 PM and ask for Sue.

·        You must call the Fire Department business phone at 485-3235 each day prior to burning.

WHEN YOU CAN BURN

·         Open ail burning is permitted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts only between January 15 and April 30.
