Driver trapped in early morning motor vehicle crash

The driver of a car was trapped after his vehicle and a truck collided on Framingham Road at 5:43 AM on August 10, 2010. After the collision, the vehicle continued into the woods where the driver's side door came to rest against a tree approximately 50' off of the roadway. The driver of the car was trapped requiring firefighters to use the Jaws of Life to extricate him. The driver was transported to U-Mass Memorial in Worcester with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Framingham Road was closed for over an hour while emergency responders were operating at the scene and the vehicle was removed from the woods.
Firefighters cleared the scene just before 7:00 AM
Jaws of Life hydraulic hoses and a light power cord lead into the woods where Firefighters are extricating the driver of the car.

Crews from Ted's Towing remove the vehicle from the woods. Michael Aspesi of Ted's Towing remotely operates the truck while ensuring the vehicle is safely removed from the woods over a stone wall.
