Vehicle crash closes Route 9

March 24, 2008

One person was injured when the vehicle he was operating crashed into a telephone pole on Route 9 westbound at Winter Street. As a result of the crash, the pole snapped and wires obstructed both lanes of Route 9 closing the highway just after noon on March 24th.

The driver was transported to Metrowest Framingham Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Local and State police as well as firefighters closed Route 9 until utility companies could raise the wires out of the travel lane.
