Strawberry Hill Road Brush fire burns 1/2 acre

A brush fire caused by an out-of-control burning permit fire burned approximately 1/2 acre during the morning of Wednesday, April 16th.

Three firefighters and the chief responded to the fire while two other on-duty members were handling a medical emergency.

The fire was brought under control in approximately 10 minutes after arrival; however firefighters were wetting down hot spots for another 45 minutes.
