Two injured in crash at Rt. 9 & Middle Road

Two people were injured Monday afternoon when their vehicles collided at Route 9 westbound & Middle Road. Firefighter/EMT-I Robert Kane, who was out updating the Department's maps, first discovered the crash and called it in. He was initially assisted at the scene by former Firefighter/EMT Davis Cowles.

The driver of one vehicle was transported by Ambulance 29 to U-Mass Memorial University Campus. Westborough Fire was called for a second ambulance, however one off-duty firefighter/EMT came in on the recall for Ambulance 28, which transported the second driver to U-Mass Marlborough Hospital.

Route 9 was restricted to one lane while emergency crews treated the injured, and Ted's towing cleared the scene.
