One injured, hazardous materials released in Mass Pike Rollover

A 27 year-old Boston man was injured when the plumbing van he was driving crossed the Jersey barrier from the  westbound lane of the MassPike into the eastbound lane and rolled over several times. The accident caused a leak in an acetylene tank in the van.

The accident, which occurred at 10:18 PM tied up eastbound traffic while the driver was treated and the hazardous material leak contained. The 27 year-old man was transported by Southborough Fire paramedics to U-Mass/Memorial hospital with serious injuries.
