Southborough Firefighters wet down the contents removed from the Hygrade Warehouse that burned in July , 1966.  Hygrade, formerly Deerfoot Farms, was a meat processing plant located at the current Southborough Medical Group site at 28 Newton Street.

The historic Southborough Arms Inn, located at 11 Main Street, is demolished after a fire in June, 1966 damaged the upper floors.
