Southborough Firefighters pay tribute to nine firefighters killed in Charleston, S.C. fire

June 22, 2007

Southborough firefighters, following a protocol initiated by several Massachusetts fire service groups, held a brief memorial to the nine Charleston S.C. firefighters killed in a furniture store warehouse on Monday, June 18th.

The bell on Ladder 26 was sounded 5-5-5, then Fire Department Chaplain Fr. Craig Lister spoke, followed by the Firefighter's Prayer read by Lt. James Colleary.  The service concluded with a moment of silence, then a salute.
