On June 8, 1966, fire damaged the upper floor of the historic Southborough Arms Inn, located at the corner of Main Street and School Street.  Southborough Firefighters, assisted by mutual aid from surrounding communities controlled the fire.  This majestic building was torn down to make way for the current Southborough Professional Building.
